19th-20th Century Genius
Nikola Tesla (1856-1943) was a Serbian-American inventor, electrical engineer, and scientist.
During the early 20th century, Tesla became one of the very greatest inventors of all time. He discovered the radio wave principle, postulated its use as radar, and invented Alternating Current (AC) electricity, the foundation of modern technological civilization.
He also invented a telephone repeater, rotating magnetic field principle, polyphase alternating-current system, induction motor, alternating-current power transmission, Tesla coil transformer, wireless communication, radio, fluorescent lights, and held more than 700 other patents.
Even more than Einstein, Tesla used visual thinking to make his discoveries. Legendary in his own time, Tesla’s storied ability to picture a new machine in its entirety in his own mind, and to “set it running” there in his mind in order to discover where it would wear and so how to compensate, is now a teachable/learnable skill here at Project Renaissance.
